Principals

Philip Sedgwick Deely
Phil Deely began his career with independent schools as a teacher, academic dean and headmaster. Subsequently he spent a decade as a successful fund raiser and museum executive. Phil is experienced in facilitating retreats, initiating fund raising and strategic planning, and board/executive director relations. A graduate of Hobart College, The University of Chicago and Klingenstein Fellow of Teachers College/Columbia University, Phil has worked for a wide range of educational organizations, arts and community groups.

B. Carter White
For four decades Carter White held executive positions in business, non profits and government. He combines a sincere interest in people with skills in finance, accounting, data management and sound business operations. Most recently Carter served as vice president of a community foundation and initiated effective institutional fund relations and planned giving. A graduate of Dartmouth, Carter has served the non-profit community in health care, arts, education and environmental preservation.

The mission of Deely & White is to provide non profit organizations with cost-effective services that will promote successful philanthropy, result-oriented planning, effective governance and professional management.   • Insure that all of our reports, recommendations, and conduct will be in full compliance with State and Federal regulations.
  • Insure that all our reports, recommendations, and conduct are ethical and reflect a commitment to the best interests of the client.
  • Keep confidential information regarding an organization’s operations, planning, philanthropic support and all other proprietary information.
  • Provide an initial, written estimate of consulting costs with any and all supplemental or billable expenses clearly identified.
  • Provide a written scope of services description that articulates the goals and schedule for the consultancy.
  • Provide the client with regular and timely reports on the progress of the consultancy.
  • Provide the client with an opportunity to assess and evaluate the work that we do.
  • Keep current in our field through ongoing professional development.
